Mahindi Bauri Degree College
The first degree college to liberate the Chandankiyari Vidhan Sabha, which has been facing the brunt of not having a degree college for years, is the Mahindi Bauri Degree College. It was established in the year 2020 in Kodiya village of Chandankiyari, Bokaro. Affiliated to Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University, this college follows modern education policy. It is a unique college offering bachelor’s degree in 20 different subjects including regional languages. There is no other degree college in the 40 km radius of this college.Located at a distance of about 10-12 kms from Chandankiyari Chowk, there is adequate means of transport to reach this college. Most of the students of this college are students from remote rural areas who had either left further studies or were planning to leave due to lack of college. This college has revived the hopes of such students. Due to being adjacent to the Bengal border, this college has become a powerful medium for the students of Bengal to fulfill their dreams.
